New Build
Private Client
2019
We had the pleasure of creating another amazing beachside home with sweeping panoramic views of the ocean in the beachside location of Sapphire Beach. This custom architectural build was commissioned by a client who works in the interior design industry, so high attention to detail and high-end workmanship was a must!
The open concept plan living and kitchen areas created a lovely flow out to the stunning light blue-coloured pool with frameless glass balustrades and sparkling ocean views beyond. Light coloured timber floors with a slightly rustic feel and bevelled edges were installed throughout the living spaces. The living room has some amazing features including a textural feature wall covered in stacked stone along with a recessed space for a television and a long custom fireplace beneath.
Every aspect of the property aimed to connect the indoor to the outdoor, including a beautiful open plan master suite with incredible ocean views.
The kitchen features white cabinetry with contemporary detailing with push-to-open overhead cupboards and bevelled edge lower cabinetry to eliminate the use of handles or pulls.
The stairs were created from steel and powder coated in black to give a unique industrial vibe to the staircase with adjacent courtyard.
All bedrooms within this property had their own ensuite and custom electric blinds were included throughout. The master features a dwarf wall dividing the bedding area and tiled bathroom section with large tub to relax in whilst enjoying the sea breezes. Hexagonal natural stone is installed on the wall with the floating vanity and open. cabinetry.
With modern architectural styling, the facade of the home has a combination of stacked stone, contemporary architectural fibre cement cladding, aluminium and concrete rendered surfaces. The angled roofline creates a real presence on the street and is instantly recognisable. The eaves feature natural timber which really give the home a distinctly beach feel. At the rear of the home, the eaves are also timber beneath the second storey and these wrap up towards the windows and private balcony area.
The combination of the use of man made and natural materials on the exterior facade of this beachside home give a warm tone to the residence and softens the hard lines of the architectural details.
